What is a Free Website?

You can have a free website with a default URL. You don't pay for web hosting and your default URL domain.  You get a basic website with a template that you can modify. If you want your website to have a custom domain, more features or capabilities, then you pay a fee.

To customize the design of your website and create organized content, takes time.  You can do this yourself, or hire a web designer to do it for you.

Google provides great value.  It's all free, as a generous starter package.  If you are a business with greater needs, then you can easily upgrade for a small fee.  If you want a custom domain for your blog, it's only $10/year, which pays for leasing. You can connect your Google blog website with your Google+ Social Network profile, to easily share with your network of followers.  Good information will increase followers.  When you publish a new blog post, you are asked if you want to share on Google+.  If you do, your blog is linked to your Google+ post, which displays, both on your designated Google+ personal, or business page news feed, and on your follower's home news feed.  Be sure your Google+ post intrigues your followers to click through, to read your website blog post.
